Young Ned Stark Reportedly Cast For Game of Thrones Season 6

Well, the jury’s still out on Kit Harrington’s involvement, but at least fans anxiously awaiting the next season of Game of Thrones have a little more information to chew on now. According to reliable fan site Watchers On The Wall, 13-year-old English actor Sebastian Croft will be playing a young Eddard Stark in Season 6.

Croft is an up-and-coming young actor with strong resume of theatre work, including roles in London West End productions of Matilda and Les Misérables. Croft’s casting confirms speculations that we would be seeing a younger version of Ned on the show, as casting calls that surfaced in late May were looking for, among other things, “a young boy with brown hair, a narrow face, green eyes, and the use of a Northern accent.”

Another interesting detail from that call was that the boy would be sparring with an older child in a scene. Does this mean we will be seeing Ned’s older brother Brandon next season as well? The speculation continues…

Game of Thrones returns to HBO in April 2016.
