This ‘Game of Thrones’ Theory About Bran Is (Fittingly) Mind-Blowing

Bran’s visions are easily one of the most fascinating parts of Game of Thrones season six so far. We’ve not only gotten to see the crippled Stark visit his father in the past, but also directly influence past events, such as when he broke Hodor’s brain through time in the tearjerker finale of “The Door.” Although the Three Eyed Raven claimed that Bran could not affect the past in such a way before he was wiped out by the Night’s King, that sure doesn’t seem to be the case.

Bran’s visions have naturally gotten fans thinking about what else he may or may not be capable of when it comes to manipulating history. Most recently, we saw Bran have a vision of the Mad King Aerys screaming, “Burn them all!” The assumption is that Bran may have influenced the Mad King’s decision to set King’s Landing on fire, but a new theory laid out by BroBible suggests that the rabbit hole goes much deeper than this. You may recall the legend of Bran the Builder, a famous Stark ancestor who, 8,000 years before the current time period, built the Wall. HBO released the above image of Bran the Builder, who is depicted being carried around on a platform, suggesting that he may be crippled just like the Bran we all know. Is this just an in-family coincidence or is Bran the Builder crippled because he and Bran are one in the same? Has Bran Stark actually played a role in all the significant events of Westeros history, manipulating time to his will so that humanity would eventually be able to overcome the White Walkers?

Whoa indeed, Neo. Whoa indeed.
