The Rock

The Rock Is Making A TV Show Based On His Early Wrestling Career

Already involved in what seems like dozens of projects in both TV and film, it has been revealed that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his production company has partnered with Will Ferrell to create a put pilot for the Fox Network, for an hour-long comedy about a young wrestler paired with an up-and-coming comedy writer, who try to advance their careers together. The show is said to parallel the early career of The Rock and former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz, who The Rock has often credited with writing the scripts for some of his most memorable material. Gewirtz and Johnson will be executive producers on the show, with 20th Century Fox acting as the production studio. This is the second series Rock’s production company, Seven Bucks Productions, has in development with Fox, along with Boost Unit, a drama about the auto theft unit of the LAPD.
