The Walking Dead returns from its long hiatus on February 14 and the midseason premiere is already expected to be chock full of death and misery for the inhabitants of the now-overrun town of Alexandria. While it’s pretty much a guarantee that a number of characters will be killed off, one character in particular who is set to return as a shambling corpse is Deanna Monroe.
Of course, this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering Tovah Feldshuh’s character was bitten during the midseason finale last year and took it upon herself to stay back to try and pick off some walkers. Of particular interest though is the final shot of Deanna from that episode, which depicts the character as wearing a necklace with a single pearl. Well, take note of this promotional shot for the back half of season six:
That shots looks like a dead ringer (pun intended) for a zombified Deanna, which means that rather than having been ripped to shreds by packs of walkers, she’ll almost certainly be back in the midseason premiere as an undead threat to the living. Expect one of the show’s still-living characters to encounter her and be forced to put her down. It has be to be her son Spencer, right? That would just be too depressingly-perfect an opportunity for this show to pass up.
This Valentine’s Day is going to be one bloody affair thanks to The Walking Dead‘s return.
