Sophie Turner Explains Why She Wants Sansa To Die On ‘Game Of Thrones’

Sophie Turner has already let slip that her Game of Thrones character, Sansa Stark, will make it through season six of the popular HBO show alive, telling E! at last month’s Oscars ceremony, “I’m like flicking through [the scripts] and I’m like death, death, death, death, I’m good for this season!” It turns out that Turner doesn’t want Sansa to stay safe forever, though.

Speaking with the Wall Street Journal recently, Turner gave the surprising revelation that she would prefer to see Sansa killed off eventually, arguing, “If you’re on Game of Thrones and you don’t have a cool death scene, then what’s the point?” Well, it’s hard to argue with that logic, as surviving on Game of Thrones is more the exception rather than the rule at this point.

Still, it will probably be awhile (if ever) until the X-Men: Apocalypse star gets her wish, as Turner admitted that Sansa is going to really come into her own this season. “[Season six is about Sansa] taking charge and being a leader rather than just a pawn in someone else’s game … she’s really gonna thrive this season.” We can only hope that by “thrive” Turner means that Sansa will get to kill Ramsay Bolton in the most gruesome, satisfying way possible. That guy is simply the worst.
