RUMOR: ‘V For Vendetta’ TV Show Is In Development

If a new rumor making the rounds is to be believed, Watchmen isn’t the only Alan Moore comic book being adapted for the small screen.

According to Bleeding Cool’s sources (via ComicBookMovie), British TV network Channel 4 is developing a TV series based on Alan Moore and David Lloyd’s V For Vendetta. The comic, which revolves around a masked vigilante’s efforts to take down a tyrannical government, was originally published from 1988-89 and later adapted into a feature-length film in 2006 starring Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving.

Until we learn more, it’s probably best to take this rumor with a grain of salt, but considering the popularity of the source material and its film adaptation, it’s probably only a matter of time before we see a V For Vendetta TV series regardless, so this certainly sounds authentic.

Let us know in the comments what you would want to see from a V For Vendetta TV show and who you would want to see cast!
