Maisie Williams Throws Another Wrench Into The Theory of Jon Snow’s Return

The next seasons of Game of Thrones is still a few months away, but the “Jon Snow is alive” rumors refuse to die down or disappear.

It’s pretty much all but confirmed that Jon Snow will make some sort of appearance in Season Six, since actor Kit Harrington has been spotted on set. Other than that, however, there are no details about whether his character survived the assassination attempt by the Night’s Watch. He could come back as a ghost, in a flashback, a vision, or any number of ways.

Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on the show, recently spoke about the fate of Jon Snow at the London Film Critic’s Circle Awards. She didn’t give away spoilers or anything, but did reveal this cryptic clue:

“I feel so mean because I speak to people and they’re all like ‘Jon Snow, is he back?’ and it’s like really heartbreaking because people are like ‘yeah, but he’s coming back though?’ It’s a great twist but I can’t say he’s going to be alive.” (Via)

Are we getting a zombie Jon Snow? The Walking Dead, featuring Jon Snow? Night of the Living Jon Snow (but he’s not living at all)? Arghhh! We won’t find out until at least April 24, and HBO will probably jerk us around for a few episodes before they give us an answer.

This has been a #JonSnowWatch update.
