WWE UK Tournament Match Results – January 14th-15th, 2017

Over the weekend, WWE held a Network-exclusive 16-man tournament containing independent wrestlers from all over the United Kingdom and Ireland, with the goal of crowning the first United Kingdom Champion. And since “I didn’t watch it” is currently leading the polls on WWE.com by a wide margin, we thought we’d at least provide you with the results from a fairly decent show containing some talent that might be showing up on WWE programming in the future!

Round 1

– Pete Dunne d. Roy Johnson
– Wolfgang d. Tyson T-Bone
– Joseph Conners d. James Drake

At the end of the first day, Pete Dunne ambushed his second round opponent, Sam Gradwell, injuring his back.

After the semi-finals, Dunne again attacked his next opponent, Tyler Bate, from behind.

Tournament Finals

– Tyler Bate d. Pete Dunne to win the United Kingdom Championship.

With the win, 19-year-old Tyler Bate becomes one of the youngest champions in WWE history.
