WWE Tag Team Title Match Officially Added To SummerSlam

If you’ve been watching Raw lately, you’ve probably noticed the ongoing feud between The New Day and The Club, which has thus far resulted in Gallows and Anderson maintaining the upper hand (despite losing a tag match against New Day on Raw) with brutal attacks that, among other injuries, may have claimed the life of Big E’s…um…”deal”.

If it seemed inevitable that the two teams were headed for a clash at SummerSlam, well, that’s correct, and WWE’s Twitter account made it official today, as The New Day will defend the WWE Tag Team Titles (and their acknowledged record-breaking reign) against The Club at SummerSlam. This adds another big match onto an already stacked card, which already includes a match to determine the first WWE Universal Champion, Dean Ambrose defending the WWE World Title against Dolph Ziggler, The Miz facing Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Title, Roman Reigns possibly taking on Rusev for the US Title, and Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton in a cross-brand feature match. And that’s not even getting into the NXT TakeOver event happening the day before! Truly, this year’s SummerSlam weekend looks like it might possibly top the incredible one we had in 2015, and the card isn’t even finished yet!
