They were interrupted by The Miz, and Bryan announced a Triple Threat match between Kalisto, Baron Corbin, and Apollo Crews, with the winner facing Miz at SummerSlam for the Intercontinental Title
Dean Ambrose called out Dolph Ziggler, who claimed that his career has basically been a joke up until now, but it won’t be after he beats Ambrose at SummerSlam. Ziggler was then attacked by Bray Wyatt, who demanded Ziggler put up his #1 Contender status in a match.
– Apollo Crews defeated Baron Corbin and Kalisto in a Triple Threat Match to become #1 Contender to the Intercontinental Title (Crews pinned Kalisto, rollup)
An advertised Becky Lynch-Eva Marie match never took place, as Eva Marie faked a leg injury during her entrance and refused to compete.
– American Alpha defeated The Vaudevillains (pinfall, Grand Amplitude)
AJ Styles cut a promo on John Cena, resulting in Cena agreeing to a match at SummerSlam.
– Randy Orton defeated Fandango by DQ when Brock Lesnar attacked Orton
Daniel Bryan told Heath Slater he had a match next week for a chance at a Smackdown contract, against Rhyno, who then Gored Slater.
Natalya attacked Carmella during her entrance, aborting a second potential Women’s match before it can start.
– Dolph Ziggler defeated Bray Wyatt to remain #1 Contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Title (pinfall, Superkick)
Erick Rowan and Wyatt attacked Ziggler and Dean Ambrose after the match, standing tall as the show ends.
