WWE Reveals Full List Of Cruiserweight Classic Participants

The highly anticipated 32-man tournament known as the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, which will air exclusively on the WWE Network this summer, is set to begin taping, and WWE has released the full list of participants. Among the names are several NXT talents (Johnny Gargano, Tomamaso Ciampa, Rich Swann), some notable indie stars (Zack Sabre Jr, Tony Nese, Cedric Alexander), some familiar old faces for WWE fans (Tajiri, Brian Kendrick), and possibly the biggest name on the list, former NJPW star Kota Ibushi, who recently left Japan and had made noise about potentially signing with WWE. In an interesting note, Andrade “Cien” Almas, who recently debuted at NXT TakeOver: The End, and was originally thought to be the favorite to win the Cruiserweight Classic, is not listed as an entrant.
