WATCH: Shinsuke Nakamura Finally Makes WWE Main Roster Debut

It’s been a long wait, but the King of Strong Style is finally part of the main WWE roster!

After losing a rematch with Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship at NXT: Takeover on Saturday night, Shinsuke Nakamura made his main roster debut on SmackDown Live on Tuesday, interrupting The Miz and Maryse pretending to be John Cena and Nikki Bella. We was greeted to a massive ovation from the crowd, complete with a live violinist playing his entrance music.

Nakamura joined the WWE in January 2016 and was immediately thrust into the main event picture in NXT. He’s had memorable matches with Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe since then, as well as a long stint as NXT Champion. Of course, it was only a matter of time before he eventually “graduated” to the bigger shows.

Now that WrestleMania is over, there is a planned “roster shakeup” next week that will see some superstars switching brands. Let’s all just keep our fingers crossed that Nakamura and A.J. Styles end up on the same show somehow, because that feud would be must-see-TV!
