LeBron James Salutes Tom Brady as The G.O.A.T. After Amazing Super Bowl Comeback

If there’s anyone who knows a thing or two about winning multiple championships (and also losing a couple), it’s LeBron James. In the aftermath of Super Bowl 51, which featured an incredible comeback from Tom Brady and New England Patriots who overcame a 25-point deficit and won the big game in overtime, James took to Twitter to send a shout out to Brady, who now stands alone at the top of the list of great NFL quarterbacks throughout history.

James also made mention of all the great championship moments we’ve seen in the last 12 months, including the Cubs and Indians taking the World Series to extra innings of Game 7, Clemson’s huge comeback in the NCAA National Championship game, and Villnova’s dramatic March Madness championship that featured two miracle three-pointers in the last five seconds. Interestingly enough, James did not mention his own Cleveland Cavaliers coming back from a 3-1 hole to claim the the 2016 NBA Finals in seven games against the favored Golden State Warriors.

Here’s the transcript of the tweet, in case you hate watching videos:

Much respect to both the Patriots and the Falcons, but what an unbelievable comeback. A major salute to the GOAT Tom Brady on your fifth championship. I mean, as a kid, man, you dream of moments like that and you definitely did it. Y’all just think about the last two years or last year or last eight months in sports we’ve had. From the Cubs to Clemson to Villanova to the Patriots, wow. It’s been an unbelievable chain of sporting events capped off by the Patriots tonight. Salute to the Pats. Salute.

From one legendary athlete to another.
