After knocking out Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 214, new light heavyweight champion Jon Jones took the opportunity to fan the flames of a rumored super fight with Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar is currently the WWE Universal champion, but is also a former UFC heavyweight champion. He was granted permission by the WWE to return to the UFC in 2016 to fight Mark Hunt at UFC 200. He won that fight via decision, but it was later ruled a no-contest when Lesnar failed multiple drug tests.
If the rumors of Lesnar wanting one last crack at an MMA career are true, Jones would be a juicy matchup. However, it won’t happen until at least 2018, since Lesnar still has to serve six-months of his one-year doping suspension.
