WATCH: Carey Price Makes Insane Diving Save in Dying Seconds of OT

The Montreal Canadiens season may live or die on the back of their goaltender Carey Price. Sure, they fired their coach and hired Claude Julien (who was also previously their coach, but whatever). But when it comes to crunch time, Price is ultimate difference maker. The Habs could ride a hot Price all the way through the regular season and deep into the playoffs, or they could fizzle out quickly if the 29-year-old netminder struggles.

With that in mind, Tuesday night was a good sign for Julien and Montreal fans everywhere. After tying the New York Rangers 2-2 in regulation, the game switched to 3-on-3 overtime. The final 15 seconds were wild, with Tomas Plekanec ringing a shot off the post only for the Rangers to come back the other way and almost win the game with just seconds remaining.

Rangers center Kevin Hayes gave a perfect 2-on-1 pass to forward J.T. Miller, but Price dove to his left to make a miracle save as time expired.

The Canadiens would go on to win the shootout after Price made four more saves on five shots.
