USADA Makes Lesnar Suspension Official

Although it was already determined a month ago, the USADA issued an official statement this week announcing Brock Lesnar’s suspension from MMA for a period of one year, retroactive to his UFC 200 fight in July of 2016, for two drug test failures prior to that match. Under this suspension, Lesnar will not be allowed to participate in MMA until July of this year. Due to his advanced age and the controversy raised by his suspension, however, it’s likely that Lesnar will not return to the sport at all.

It is important to note that this does not affect his standing in WWE, as they are not subject to the USADA ruling, and Lesnar is still scheduled to participate in the Royal Rumble match later this month, as well as a likely match at WrestleMania 33 in April.
