The Young Bucks Really Want Hulk Hogan to Come Join the Bullet Club

Hulk Hogan hasn’t been seen on any wrestling programming since the WWE cut ties with him after leaked audio from a sex tape revealed the Hulkster making racist comments. One multi-million dollar lawsuit later, which Hogan won against online blog Gawker Media, and the story has mostly faded away.

With the huge lawsuit win, Hogan may not be scrambling for another job anytime soon. But it’s hard to deny Hogan’s eternal ties with the sport of pro wrestling. Hulkamania is largely responsible for the rise of wrestling popularity in the 80s and 90s, and it’s almost a given that he will eventually re-appear in some form or another.

If the Young Bucks have their way, Hogan’s return to the wrestling world will be in NJPW, as a member of the Bullet Club. For those who aren’t aware, the Bullet Club is basically a modern day version of the NWO — black and white T-shirts and “2 Sweet” hand gestures and absorbing all the promotion’s biggest stars.  Matt and Nick Jackson recently told Sports Illustrated that Hogan would be the perfect addition to the Club.

“I’d love to welcome Hulk in,” said Matt. “He’s honestly my favorite wrestler of all time, so working with him in any capacity would be fun.”

“I’d love to have him walk us down the aisle at the Tokyo Dome while the three of us play air guitar,” added Nick. “That would be a dream come true.”

The Bullet Club previously extended an invitation to former WWE-champion-turned-UFC-cannon-fodder CM Punk, but it sounds like he may get another shot in the octagon before his UFC experiment winds down.

Current WWE members A.J. Styles, Finn Balor, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were all former members of the Bullet Club, even teasing a reunion on multiple occasions on WWE television. The current leader is Canadian wrestler Kenny Omega, generally thought to be one of the best wrestlers not currently in the WWE.

“Kenny is the best and has been the best for years,” said Matt. “I stood ringside for many big matches and nobody touches Kenny. He’s on another planet right now.”

“Kenny has proved to the world he’s the best singles wrestler this year,” shared Nick. “But he’s been the best for a very long time so at least now the whole world knows it. Okada is right up there in talking about the best. He’s had big matches every month for the last few years and he’s delivered every time.”
