The WWE Universe is Buzzing Over a Possible Return by The Undertaker at Survivor Series

The Undertaker had one of the greatest retirements in wrestling history. Whether you like Roman Reigns or not, most wrestling fans will agree that watching The Undertaker lose at WrestleMania 33, passing the torch to someone else, and then leaving his trademark hat and coat in the ring as we walked off to a standing ovation was one of the most iconic moments in the history of the business.

But let’s be real for a minute. This is pro wrestling, and retirements are almost never permanent.

After the surprise return of The Undertaker’s “brother” Kane on Raw this week, rumors are swirling that the Dead Man himself could also be gearing up for a special return. It would only be for a single match at Survivor Series, but it would still be a huge mark-out moment if that gong hits.

Reigns has been bragging about retiring the Undertaker ever since WrestleMania (which is strange, since that’s clearly heel behavior from a guy who is supposed to be a babyface –we think). Regardless, the constant mentions have some people believing that an Undertaker return is a very real possibility, even if it’s just a run-in to turn the tides of the main event.

If The Undertaker does return, it would likely be in one of the traditional Survivor Series eight-man elimination matches, including The Shield, Kane, and maybe The Miz and some others. It’s unclear whether he would align with his brother Kane or not, although it doesn’t make sense for him to be on Reigns’ side either.

Of course, he’s also 52-years old and could barely lumber around the ring for the last few years as a part-timer. So remember that all these rumors are just that, and should be taken with a massive-sized grain of salt.
