Smackdown Can’t Beat Raw, But Ratings Stay Steady

Some people thought the National Championship on Monday night may have given Smackdown Live a second chance to beat Raw in the ratings this week, but unfortunately for the blue brand, it looks like Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker brought in just enough eyeballs to keep that from happening. The good news for Smackdown is that it maintained roughly the same viewership as last week, and appears to have settled around a consistent number at this point. Overall, Smackdown Live brought in 2.53 million viewers and a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic. It was likely affected by President Obama’s farewell speech, which aired during the show, and finished fourth overall for the evening among original cable programming, behind coverage of that address, and History’s Curse of Oak Island.
