Raw Can’t Keep Viewers Against National Championship Game

WWE knew that Raw would be in tough against the NCAA National Championship, so they brought in Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker to try and stem the ratings tide. The good news is, people definitely tuned in to see the two WWE Legends make an appearance, with the first two hours of Raw maintaining a nice, round, 3 million viewers. The bad news is, once that was done with, everyone went back to football, as the third hour lost over 300k viewers and dragged down Raw’s overall rating. The show finished with an average of 2.91 million viewers and a 0.97 rating in the 18-49 demographic, putting it seventh for the night among original cable programming, with football-related shows taking the top 5 spots.

Hourly Breakdown

Hour 2 (9-10 PM): 3.02 million viewers, 0.99 demo rating
