This Sunday, it’s time for WWE’s Hell in a Cell Pay Per View, where feuds have been traditionally shoe-horned inside one of wrestling’s most dangerous gimmicks simply because of the name of the show. At least this year, they’ve found two long-running blood feuds that at least could justify taking place inside the dreaded Cell. With WWE facing record-lows in TV ratings and John Cena reportedly set to take some time off following this show, we could be looking at the start of a new direction for WWE. Hey, anything’s possible, right? But if you’re looking for a one-stop shop for all your Hell in the Cell informative needs, look no further than our exclusive preview of the Pay Per View! With that said, let’s take a look at the card.
8. Cesaro, Neville, and Dolph Ziggler vs Rusev, Sheamus, and King Barrett
This match was added to the pre-show at the absolute last minute, and only exists because Randy Orton separated his shoulder and may miss significant time, thus cancelling the planned Orton and Dean Ambrose vs Luke Harper and Braun Strowman tag match. The six men in this match have absolutely nothing better to do on this Pay Per View than fight the same match they did on this Monday’s Raw (perhaps it should be subtitled “Six Guys Who Already Lost The John Cena US Open Challenge”, which would be accurate). Although, in the case of Dolph Ziggler and Rusev, they may find that a relief after the garbage they were forced to slog through for the last few months. The intrigue in this match may come from outside factors: it looks like newly debuting Tyler Breeze (who showed up on Smackdown with Summer Rae as a manager; apparently stuff happens on Smackdown sometimes) has an issue with Ziggler, and Cesaro started been receiving overtures from Stardust over the past week for some reason. In any event, the heel team has won all the matches up to this point, so there’s an excellent change that the good guys will come away with a victory, and hopefully move on to feuds that actually mean something.
