Kyle Lowry on Trump’s Travel Ban: “It’s Bulls**t”

Earlier today we brought you the comments of NBA head coach Steve Kerr, who eloquently (but firmly) made his position against Donald Trump’s new immigration ban very clear. On the other end of the diplomatic stick (although with the same political views), it Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry.

Lowry, who plays in Canada but is originally from Philadelphia, was asked about Trump’s executive order after a Raptors practice on Monday and didn’t hold back.

I think it’s bullsh*t. I think it’s absolute bullsh*t. I mean, our country is the… home of the free, and for that to happen, I think it’s bullsh*t. I’m not gonna get into it too deeply, but personally I think it’s bullsh*t.

When the reporter asked if he would answer again without the profanity, so they could use quote him directly, he declined.

“No. Not at all. You’ll have to bleep that out, because that’s how I feel about it. If you use it, you use it.”

Lowry, who was recently named to the NBA All-Star team as a reserve, seems to have the same opinion of many in the professional sports world.
