WWE Superstar John Cena, who currently holds the record for granting over 500 Make-A-Wish requests, which is more than double whomever is in second place, and who is well on his way to his next goal of 1,000, says that he feels like he still hasn’t granted enough wishes. We’ll let him explain.
“That’s [500 wishes granted] over 15 years, roughly 5,475 days. That means I’ve been idle for 4,975 days. I feel like I’m not meeting enough kids. The days I see a Make-A-Wish kid are the best days of the week. It’s a real privilege.”
“I give them exactly what they give me—hope. It’s a day off from the normal struggle.”
To be fair, during those 15 years he’s also been busy doing his day job as the biggest Superstar in WWE, but we get what he’s saying. Also, now we feel appropriately terrible for not doing enough charity work ourselves. Thanks, John Cena, you absolute paragon of humanity.
