Jerry Lawler & Fiancee Arrested For Domestic Assault

WWE Hall of Famer and Smackdown color commentator Jerry “The King” Lawler, and his fiancee Lauryn McBride, were arrested early Friday morning, after police responded to a violent exchange between the two at their Memphis home. Both are claiming assault by the other, with McBride also alleging that Lawler presented her with an unloaded pistol and told her to kill herself. Lawler claims that McBride was intoxicated, and that she brought the gun into the disagreement.

Lawler has been indefinitely suspended by WWE, in accordance with their domestic violence policy. WWE issued the following statement:

“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Jerry Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”
