JaVale McGee’s Mom Wants Shaq Fired For Cyber Bullying

You know a basketball beef has gone way to far when the moms get involved.

Shaquille O’Neal’s constant ridicule of JaVale McGee on his “Shaqtin’ a Fool” segment may finally be coming to an end. After a ton of back and forth on Twitter, which escalated to the point of actual threats of violence and Shaq telling McGee’s teammates to “mind they business” because the Warriors backup center was “a bum.”

Now the whole thing is apparently over.

“I have orders from the top to leave it alone,” O’Neal said on the weekend, according to The Undefeated.

Which mysterious authority figure laid the smack down on the Big Aristotle? Was it his boss at TNT? NBA commissioner Adam Silver?

“No,” O’Neal said. “My mama. Just say Shaq’s mom called him, told him, ‘Stop this silliness. Leave him alone.’ So that’s the end of the beef. You won’t be hearing about it from my side anymore. Mama has spoken.”

Not so fast though. McGee’s mom also chimed in on the situation, and she wasn’t as willing to forgive and forget.

“He cyberbullied my son,” Pamela McGee said. “Totally inappropriate. Shaquille needs to lose his job or be suspended. The NBA needs to make a stand.”

“If you really want to get technical with it, it’s bullying,” Pamela added. “We all have little jokes and stuff. But when you continue to pick on just one person – as his career is resurrecting – there’s nothing to it but bullying. And it’s unacceptable. You can’t allow someone to continue to do this who represents TNT and the NBA.

“He is a representative of TNT and the NBA. Broadcasters are held to a higher authority. He should lose his job.”

Sooo…. feud over? Who knows?
