Young WWE fan Elijah “Drax Shadow” Mainville, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2010, passed away this Sunday at the age of 9. In his short life, Elijah was a massive fan of WWE, and even applied for the recent season of Tough Enough, which brought his condition to the attention of WWE. As a result, under his wrestling name Drax Shadow, Elijah was able to sign a WWE contract in the middle of the ring, surrounded by Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and his favorite wrestler Cody “Stardust” Rhodes.
Unfortunately, in recent days, Elijah’s condition worsened, and his family’s Facebook account confirmed that he passed away Sunday night at 10:15 pm.
Rhodes posted the following on social media:

Thank-you Elijah. You taught me bravery.
