Finn Bálor recently spoke with the PodNasty Wrestling Podcast to promote his upcoming title defence against Kevin Owens at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn on August 22nd and left some hints about what the future may hold for “The Demon.”
Fans of the NXT brand will be happy to know that Bálor has no desire to be called up to the main roster, and instead would rather continue building the momentum that the NXT brand has been able to generate.
“What we’re doing at NXT right now is groundbreaking. It’s revolutionary. For me, it’s like a Renaissance period in wrestling, and I want to be involved in NXT, I don’t want to go to the quote-unquote main roster, I don’t want to get called up, so to speak, because I believe that we at NXT are building something together that is going to be looked back on in 10 years the same way that we looked back on the ECW period as being revolutionary at that time, and this is something that I want to be involved in.”
Time will tell as to whether or not the WWE brass decides to bring Bálor to RAW, but for now it seems that we’ll be seeing more of Finn Bálor as the lead draw on the NXT brand.
