Daniel Bryan and Mauro Ranallo Will Host WWE Cruiserweight Classic

Wrestling fans have been waiting for any sign that they might get to see Daniel Bryan again, after the popular Superstar was forced into retirement in February. And while we may never see Bryan wrestle another match, it has been announced by that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion will make his WWE on-screen return as the color commentator for the upcoming WWE Cruiserweight Classic, which starts taping at Full Sail University this weekend, and begins airing on the WWE Network on July 13th, which a special preview show on July 6th. It’s an interesting move for Bryan, who will undoubtedly bring a unique perspective to the event, having both trained with and wrestled several of the announced participants over his lengthy career in the independents.

Joining Bryan at the commentary booth for this special 32-man tournament, featuring wrestlers from around the world, will be Smackdown lead announcer Mauro Ranallo, who has received rave reviews for his work behind the desk since joining WWE.
