CM Punk To Undergo Surgery, UFC Debut On Hold Again

Reports have come out that CM Punk will be having surgery this week to deal with a herniated disc in his back. The recovery time after this procedure is expected to be between 4-6 weeks. Punk’s UFC debut, which was originally scheduled to be against Mickey Gall at UFC 199, has been pushed back as a result. Punk was reportedly informed about the need for surgery just before Gall’s fight this past Saturday, but kept it quiet until now. In an interview with MMAFighting.com, Punk said that he still intends to fight at least once in 2016, and that this latest surgery is “just a bump in the road”.
