Canadian Government Acknowledges Kevin Owens’ Universal Title Win

These days, all eyes are on the US Government, and with good reason, which means that the governments of other countries are free to fool around and do things like make speeches to honor Kevin Owens as the longest-running Universal Champion in history. Such was the case in the Canadian House of Commons this week, when the Member of Parliament for the area which includes Owens’ announced hometown of Marieville, Quebec, acknowledged the awesomeness of one of the country’s native sons.

Now, in case you’re not Canadian, and/or don’t understand French, here’s the gist of it:

“I offer my congratulations to this wrestler and native of Marieville, which is in my riding. He joins legends of wrestling from Quebec and Canada like Pat Patterson, Maurice ‘Mad Dog’ Vachon, Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, and of course his trainer, Jacques Rougeau.”

In response, Chris Jericho allegedly placed every wrestler named ahead of him on the list.
