Can Sting Become The Oldest WWE Champ in History?

When Sting takes on Seth Rollins in the main event of WWE’s Night of Champions PPV on Sunday night, he has a chance to set an interesting wrestling record. A win would make him the oldest WWE champion ever, surpassing Vince McMahon.

In this excellent infographic by the good people at, we see the 10 oldest champs in history. It also includes every PPV where a singles wrestler has competed twice in one night (not including things like the Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, Tag Matches, King of The Ring Tournaments, etc…). Rollins will be just the seventh wrestler to do so.

Seth Rollins, who is both the WWE and United States Champ, will face off against John Cena for the U.S. belt before taking on Sting later that night. Via Rukkus
