James Bond

WATCH: The Evolution of James Bond’s Spy Cars

With the recent release of Spectre, the 24th film in the decades-long series about fictional British spy James Bond, comes yet another slick car for 007 to crash (Probably. We haven’t actually seen the new movie yet.)

Although the Daniel-Craig-as-Bond movies have shown a particular affection for Aston Martin vehichles, it hasn’t always been that way. Bond has actually used a number of difference makes and models over the years (and probably crashed almost all of them in some fashion). The Auto Insurance Center has put together this awesome video of every signature car used by the various Bonds over the years. Which one is your favourite?

And here’s a bonus GIF of every single iconic gun barrel opening from the previous 23 Bond flicks, via Imgur user TheThingsTheyCarried.

Fun fact: For the first three movies, it wasn't Sean Connery during the gun logo. When the films switched from a 4:3 ratio to 16:9 for Thunderball, they had to reshoot the logo and used Sean Connery.Edit: So… this is now on the front page of Reddit. Awesome!
