WATCH: First Teaser Trailer for Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ Has Arrived

We got our first look at Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther/T’Challa in Captain American: Civil War, but longtime fans of the comic character still have to wait until February 2018 for a solo Black Panther film. To tide them over, Marvel has released the first teaser trailer for the film.

The trailer suggests that the fictional country of Wakanda is hiding an incredible secret, maintained by pretending they are just another poor African country.

“Explorers have searched for it; called it El Dorado,” explains Ulysses Klaw (Andy Serkis) in the trailer. “They looked for it in South America, but it was in Africa the whole time.”

The other plotline from the movie is that someone is trying to overthrow the Wakanda royal family, of which T’Challa is the king. Michael B. Jordan’s character Erik Killmonger leads the would-be usurpers.
