STAR WARS: Here’s What George Lucas Thought Of ‘The Last Jedi’

Star Wars creator George Lucas has seen The Last Jedi and shared his reaction with director Rian Johnson after the screening.

Lucas told Johnson that he was highly impressed with what he saw, commenting that it was “beautifully made,” according to Connie Wethington, a rep for Lucas.

“And in speaking with director Rian Johnson after viewing was complimentary,” she added.

Lucas has not written or directed a Star Wars film since 2005’s Revenge of the Sith. In 2012, Disney acquired Lucasfilm and the Star Wars brand for $4.05 billion. Since that time, Lucas has given Disney his blessing to do with the franchise as they see fit and has said in interviews since the sale that he has no ideas for future installments.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens tonight. Currently, the film holds a 95 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and you can check out our review of the film here.
