Sony Drops ‘Uncharted’ Movie From 2017 Release Schedule

The long and tortured history of video game properties being turned into movies continues, as a film based on the incredibly popular Uncharted franchise looks to have hit another massive speed bump, and will no longer be coming out next summer, as was originally expected. The movie, which has rumored to be in various forms of production since 2009, now has no director, lead actor, or release date, factors which would lead one to suspect that it will be a very long time before it hits theaters, if it ever does. The good news is, apparently there is a script still being written, and Sony has not completely given up on the project yet.

Honestly, at this point, if you were waiting for an Uncharted movie, maybe you should just go play Uncharted 4 again. Or all of them. Yeah, you should probably do that.
