Captain America

UPDATE: First Trailer For ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Drops On Jimmy Kimmel Live

Update: Well, looks like the speculation was totally on point. Here’s the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War:

Original Story: Hot on the heels of a Star Wars extravaganza episode, Jimmy Kimmel Live will be holding a special Marvel event tonight, roping in the two biggest stars of the studio’s next feature, Captain America: Civil War, in the process.

That’s right: Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. will be on hand to reveal a “big surprise.” The obvious guess is that the surprise will be a trailer for Civil War, but that seems like a longshot considering it’s already been announced that the trailer will play in front of Star Wars The Force Awakens screenings next month.

To be fair though, it’s likely that the trailer will go up online before December 18th, so there’s the possibility that Cap and Iron Man will┬ábe on-hand to announce the date of the trailer’s release, with a possible teaser accompanying the news. It could also be something completely different of course, but we’d be very surprised if tonight’s reveal doesn’t include Civil War in some way.

If you’re currently enjoying your binge-watch of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, you’ll be happy to know that series star Krysten Ritter will also be a guest on Kimmel’s show.

Also, if the trailer is in fact released tonight, we’ll post it here.

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
