While it won’t be out until 2017, Star Wars: Episode VIII is already one of the most highly-anticipated films in the world, so naturally Star Wars fans are eager for any little detail that emerges regarding the as yet untitled film being directed by Rian Johnson (Looper).
John Boyega, who plays newcomer Finn in The Force Awakens, is already preparing for his role in the next film in the series and has teased a bit about what fans can expect.
In an interview with Vogue UK, Boyega calls Episode VIII‘s script “great” and “much darker” than its predecessor and also let slip that his role will be much more physically demanding this time around (which is really saying something considering the amount of running and fighting Finn did in The Force Awakens).
“My part in the next film will be much more physical so I might be in the gym a bit more,” Boyega said, explaining that his workout for The Force Awakens wasn’t anywhere near the level of someone like Chris Hemsworth’s for his role in Thor in the Marvel films.
