Here’s When You Can Expect To See The ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Trailer

The long wait for the first Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer is nearly over, at least if new rumors regarding when the trailer is expected to drop are to be believed.

With Star Wars Celebration happening this week, it’s pretty much guaranteed that Lucasfilm will put out the first preview for The Last Jedi over the course of the event. After all, they’ve done the same thing with the previous two Star Wars films, with both The Force Awakens and Rogue One dropping trailers at Celebration in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

According to Star Wars News Net, the latest trailer will debut during The Last Jedi panel on Friday, and “will definitely have the ‘full trailer’ feel, not just a brief teaser.” ScreenRant adds, “Specifics beyond that are not mentioned, but several will be encouraged by this development. Lucasfilm has kept an ironclad lock on any official reveals up to this point, so it arguably would have been disappointing if the trailer was simply a short ‘roll call’ of the main characters — similar to the announcement for Episode VII.

The trailer is expected to be more substantial than the footage shown to Disney shareholders last month, which notably featured Luke Skywalker’s first spoken dialogue since 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15 and soon enough we’ll all get a glimpse of what we can expect … hopefully.
