Marvel dropped not one, but two trailers for Spider-Man: Homecoming last night and all-in-all, it looks like a fun, youthful take on the classic superhero. Of course, a Marvel trailer release wouldn’t be complete without a look at some of the Easter eggs hidden away in two minutes of movie footage, so that’s what we’re doing now!
Overall, there aren’t that many good Easter eggs in either trailer, but the ones that are there are pretty great. Here’s a few of the ones you may not have caught:
Peter’s Room
Early in the trailer when Peter is crawling on his bedroom ceiling in his Spider-Man suit, we get a good look at some of the objects in his room and two in particular stand out. The first is a New York Mets flag sporting Mike Plazza’s name, which confirms once-and-for-all that Parker is a Mets fan because of course he is. The other item worth taking note of is the AT-AT model sitting on a shelf, a clever nod to Peter’s Empire Strikes Back-themed moment in Captain America: Civil War. Jeez, the set designers in the MCU really have their work cut out for them in trying to keep a handle on the whole shared movie universe thing.
