Halle Berry Reveals That Wolverine And Storm Were Lovers In The X-MEN Movies

Logan may have only had eyes for Jean Grey, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have some fun on the side with another lady mutant.

According to Halle Berry, who played Storm alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in multiple X-Men movies, the pair had a secret romantic relationship.

“It’s true. Storm and Logan had a thing,” Berry revealed in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Berry’s claims aren’t without evidence either, as a deleted scene in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past shows Logan give Storm a farewell kiss before travelling through time to the 1970s. Although the scene didn’t make it into the film, Berry and Jackman both consider it to be canon. Apparently, the scene came about because Storm didn’t have a love interest in the films and the two actors, as well as the creative team, thought it would make sense if their two characters were together.

Berry says that while the relationship was “wonderful, it didn’t last long because of Logan’s affections for Jean Grey, who “caused a problem.”

X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the next film in the franchise, will see Sophie Turner and Alexandra Shipp reprise their roles as young Jean Grey and Storm, respectively, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing a love triangle between their characters and Wolverine (unless Fox is casting someone to play a younger version of Logan, which they won’t).
