Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Director Is Sick Of People Fighting Over ‘Batman V Superman’

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has had enough of fans arguing about whether or not Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a good movie.

In a Twitter thread, Gunn posted that every time he so much as mentions DC, his timeline fills up with people getting into heated arguments over Zack Snyder’s divisive 2016 film.

“Every time I mention anything DC, no matter what, my feed becomes an endless screaming match about BvS,” Gunn said. “You guys are never going to convince each other – it’s just a bunch of wasted energy. At least when you’re screaming at each other about Trump, it’s something of international importance. But it’s a 2 year old movie that some people like and some people don’t. Why is someone else’s opinion so important to you. As Marvel and DC super fans you have way more in common with each other than you do with the rest of the world. So why do you spend so much time raging at each other? It’s silly. Please just stop it. Stop engaging in that way.

“But at the very least,” Gunn finished, “when you do, untag me. I’ve muted a lot of you guys, but not all. Thanks.”

Gunn’s rant came in response to a tweet he made expressing his excitement for Zachary Levi landing the starring role in DC’s Shazam! movie.

The next installment in the DC Extended Universe is Justice League, a direct sequel to Batman v Superman that is also being directed by Zack Snyder. The film hits theaters on November 17.
