‘Deadpool 2’ Will Feature More Familiar Faces

After the smash success of Deadpool in 2016, there was never a question that a sequel would eventually be made. Strangely though, the planned sequel has been hampered with pre-production problems. The original director Tim Miller quit (or was forced out), and others have left the project in support of Miller. And there are constantly rumors floating around that Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, is experiencing creative differences with studio executives over how to handle the sequel.

Regardless of all the drama, Deadpool 2 will definitely still get made. Fans of the original will be happy to know that several familiar faces will be making a return. According to Collider, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have revealed that Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead will both be back for the sequel, in some capacity at least.

PAUL WERNICK: I can’t say how much they are…

RHETT REESE: I think we can say. Yeah, they’ll be in the sequel.

WERNICK: Yeah, they’ll make at least an appearance.

The big villain for the movie will be Cable, although the role hasn’t officially been cast yet. Marvel character Domino is also likely to make a debut in the film. In less superheroey character news, the awkward taxi driver from the first Deadpool will also be back for the sequel. That’s right, the slightly murderous Dopinder (Karan Soni) is coming back!
