There is a lot of criticism every year when EA unveils a new FIFA game. Most years, the game is simply a roster update with some cosmetic touchups. FIFA 17 looks like it may be the first edition in a while to really leap forward.
Not only will the newest version feature a brand new engine (the same one that powers the Battlefield games), but FIFA 17 will also feature an actual story mode, where you take over as a young player trying to make a name — and a career — for himself in the high-pressure environment of the English Premier League.
FIFA 17 is set for release on September 29.
