It had to happen eventually. After using backdrops of World War II, modern conflicts in the Middle East, and fictional future battles, Call of Duty is finally headed into space.
When Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is released in November 4, players will experience not just a battle for a country but a large scale war over the fate of the entire solar system. In a new video released by developers Infinity Ward, you can see how the opening mission unfolds with a surprise attack on the city of Geneva, featuring what looks like some sort of robot enemies.
Your squad fights through the streets, a familiar gameplay mechanic in Call of Duty games, making their way to a vital tower in the middle of town. After securing it, you take to the skies in futuristic fighter jets/space ships. The clip ends with some intense space dog-fighting, which quite frankly, looks like a helluva lot of fun.
