Goliath Podcast

The Goliath Gamecast #24 – Super Mario Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, And Trying To Find Time For Big Games

This week, we have an important announcement to make in regards to the Goliath Podcast. We’ve made the decision to branch the podcast into two separate, bi-weekly shows: The Goliath Podcast as you’ve come to know it will become the Goliath Gamecast — hosted by Charlie Rogers and Nick Steinberg — and will be focused on all things gaming. We’ll also be launching a new series next week called the Goliath Screencast, a podcast dedicated to all things movies and TV which will be hosted by Devon Taylor and Riley Jones.

We decided to make this switch in an effort to create more focused content for our listeners. We realize that subscribing to a podcast that tries to cover everything is a bit of a big ask, so we thought branching our two biggest passions — video games and movies/TV — into their own dedicated shows will help us cover both topics better.

Basically, if you’re already subscribed to the Goliath Podcast, you’ll now be getting episodes of the Goliath Gamecast. We will make an announcement about how to find the Screencast once the first episode is up.

Anyway, in this week’s episode, Charlie and Nick discuss the games they’ve been playing. Nick’s been busy exploring two massive open-worlds in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Assassin’s Creed: Origins, while both of the guys are looking forward to diving into Super Mario Odyssey. They also discuss how crazy it is that Mario, Assassin’s Creed and the new Wolfenstein are launching on the same day and which game may suffer because of it.

As always, you can find the podcast embedded below if you’d like to give it a listen in your browser. Of course, you can also subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher. If you’re enjoying the podcast, you’d be helping us out immensely by leaving a review. Also, feel free to shoot us a message on our Facebook page if there’s a specific topic you want us to discuss or a question you’d like to have answered in a future episode. You can also find CharlieNickRiley, and Devon on their respective Twitter pages.
