Sony has officially confirmed they will be implementing a “Vote to Play” feature into their PlayStation Plus subscription service. This will allow subscribers to choose one title from a list of a select few PlayStation 4 games they want to see featured in the service’s monthly group of free titles.
A post on the PlayStation Blog explains that games that receive the most votes will be automatically included in a future PS Plus lineup, while runner-up titles that didn’t receive enough votes will be offered at a discount. While it’s unknown when Vote to Play will launch, Sony promises that they will “have more details soon” regarding how Vote to Play will work and how players will cast their votes.
While it’s a little disappointing that players won’t be able to vote for any game they want, having more input from its subscribers will likely help make PlayStation Plus even more appealing from a value standpoint.
