Sony Is Finally Releasing Its Much-Anticipated PS4 System Update

Sony will roll out its next major system software update for PS4 tomorrow, introducing a number of new features to the console.

The PlayStation Blog reports that version 4.50 will include key features such as external HDD support (finally!) and custom wallpapers, as well as a number of other additions. These include improved 2D images on PlayStation VR, Voice Chat for Remote Play on Windows PC, an Off Console Availability status that lets a player’s friends know if they’re logged into PSN on another device, Boost Mode for PS4 Pro (you can find a more in-depth breakdown here), and a host of updates to PS Messages and Communities.

For more information on the 4.50 update, head over to the PlayStation Blog for full details. In the meantime, I will be gearing up to hook up the 2TB external drive I just bought earlier this week in the hope that this update was coming soon. Talk about great timing!
