Sony Congratulates Nintendo On Positive Review Scores For ‘Zelda: Breath of the Wild’

On the eve of the worldwide launch of its latest home console, Nintendo has received a shout-out from one of its biggest competitors for how well its new game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been performing with critics.

The PlayStation UK Twitter account posted a note congratulating their UK counterpart in reference to the overwhelmingly positive response to Breath of the Wild, which currently sits at an astounding 98% score on Metacritic. Sony released their own open world adventure game this week with the PS4 title Horizon: Zero Dawn, which has been garnering numerous accolades itself.

PlayStation UK concluded the tweet by stating “Whatever adventure you go on this weekend, what an amazing time for gaming!” which feels like an understatement. With both Horizon: Zero Dawn and Breath of the Wild out this week (not to mention the Nintendo Switch launch), Ghost Recon: Wildlands next week and Mass Effect: Andromeda near the end of the month, March 2017 is shaping up to be one of the best months for gaming ever.

It’s also just refreshing to see one company give another props like this.
