Crash might be back, baby!
According to Max Arguile, manager of the UK-based merchandising company GB Eye (via IGN), a new Crash Bandicoot game is being developed by Activision following the success of last year’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Arguile also claims that N. Sane Trilogy is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch.
“The new game was a huge success at retail with no marketing spend. Next year it will be going broader (Switch and PC) and there will be another game in 2019.
“Activision has a five-year plan for this and GB Eye is delighted to be fully on board for all products.”
It was always suspected that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was a timed PS4-exclusive, so it wouldn’t be at all surprising if we were to end up seeing the remaster on additional platforms. What’s less clear is how accurate Arguile’s claims may be, as we’ll have to wait for official word from Activision to confirm either of these rumors.
In the meantime, what would you want from a potential new Crash Bandicoot game? Also, can we acknowledge it would be if we were to see the first three Crash Bandicoot games released on a Nintendo console? Our ’90s selves just wouldn’t know what to do with that kind of information!
