‘Pokémon Go’ Users Can Now Request New Gym and Pokestop Locations

If you live in the middle of a major city, you’re probably hitting Pokestops and gyms at every corner. However, if you live in a less-populated area, with no real landmarks nearby, your gaming options might be quite limited.

Have no fear, though, as Pokémon Go developer Niantic now has an option for you to request a new gym or Pokestop at any area you choose. Just head over to their official Pokémon Go Support Page and fill out a form. No, you can’t do it in the app itself.

Just be reasonable with your requests, people. Niantic isn’t going to turn your living room into a Pokestop, but maybe they will honor a request if you pick the corner store a few blocks away. Or the park down the street. Also, there’s no guarantee that your request will be granted at all, since the good folk over at Niantic are probably swamped right now just trying to keep the servers running.

Still, if you’re looking at a fairly empty Pokémon Go map, it may be worth a shot to request some new locations that are in your general area.
